What a busy day we are getting so many little projects done around the house and are almost finished with our favorite project (the kids play area in the garage.) We often have to wait to workout until after our son goes to bed (7:30-8pm) if we want to work out together, but honestly some days I am just too plum tired to workout when he goes to bed. So we decided to make a play area in the garage next to where we workout so we can workout while the kids are awake and they get to play outside (when it starts raining that will be a nice place to be able to go play as well.) I am sure you think I am about to say we didn't get our workout in because we were so busy but nope we DID IT! We worked out at 8:15pm and didn't get done until 9:30 but it felt great to get it done.
Today we worked out legs and back the workout actually went by really quick but our legs were for sure burning after all those lunges and squats! Thank goodness for the recovery drink after we knew we wouldn't be too sore. I have began to crave the recovery drink after workouts it taste so good and makes your body feel so refreshed. We also haven't had any sweets other than fruit so it is like a treat to me.
Yesterdays meal plan was definitely not a good one for us (we didn't like much of what we ate.) After that meal plan it left me feeling like I wanted a big cold stone ice cream or a big burrito, whatever just something unhealthy. It is so weird that by taking these things away that you can crave them so much and by eating healthy food that you don't like it really intensifies those feelings. The one thing that got me through that day was reminding myself not for 90 days, I am not telling myself it is forever which is really helpful. Today's food has been much better so I am not feeling that way at all today so it looks like we will just cut yesterdays meal plan out of the equation.
Here are some pictures of our healthy family eating habits and there is nothing like sitting down as a family to eat!
Great times for the whole family. Good for you!
