Day 2 (13 days until official start)

Oh my my I am sweating like a pig! Well that doesn't sound to flattering but I just got done and am worn out, man I am out of shape! So today's workout was Plyometrics an INTENSE cardio workout. The workout is 1 hour long (which includes warm up and cool down) and I only lasted 20 minutes. At the end of the workout I was sweating a lot and feeling dizzy but at least I showed up and put what I had into it. I am sure tomorrow my legs will be hurting seeing as I did lots of squats, jumping, and lunges...but it sure got my heart rate up.

Not to make excuses but the things that I believe contributed to only lasting 20 minutes are the following: 1.Woke up yesterday at 5:45 and didn't get to bed until after 12 (Kenadi did not want to go to bed last night.) 2. Don't think I ate enough yesterday, with my first workout and breastfeeding I have got to remember to get some more calories in. 3. Woke up this morning to Nathan's alarm and could not fall back asleep so I finally got up at 5 to eat breakfast and do my workout. I think with only 4 hours of sleep and my body still trying to recover from yesterdays workout made today's workout a lot harder!

Going to work on today to overcome the above hurdles: 1. Get a nap in- With a 3 month old and 18 month old sleep is always hard, however today Blake is at his aunts and with the little sleep and extra action I will be sure to get a nap in today. 2. Get a few more calories in 3. Drink more water- goal today is 4 20oz water bottles.

As for my workout yesterday my shoulders, back and chest are sore! Not an unbearable sore but enough to remind me of my workout. My abs don't hurt too bad yet which means I definitely need to step the ab workout up a notch.

Have a great Tuesday,
Ashley

  1. But like you said earlier, at least you showed up! One day at a time. I second the notion that you'll need to balance exercise, calorie intake, water, and rest. Especially rest. Good job!
